It Takes a Skilled Plastic Surgeon to Fix a Plastic Surgery Mistake
By admin | May 7, 2010
Many men and women turn to plastic surgery as the route toward looking younger and refreshed. According to First Coast News, Victoria Hutchins of the Dallas, Texas area originally underwent cosmetic procedures to do just this. However, the outcome of her procedures was other than what she had hoped for.
Unfortunately in Hutchins’ case, “laser resurfacing caused lingering burns, and she gained permanent numbness from poorly placed cheek implants.” Unlike other body procedures such as a tummy tuck or breast augmentation, where botched results can be more easily covered up, the damage to her face could not be hidden and was visible to everyone. Hutchins needed to seek out another doctor for revision, and as reported in the First Coast News article, a few other women had similar experiences. Veda Combs is among them. She went to an ear, nose, and throat specialist for plastic surgery, now wishing that she could have done things differently; her procedure did not go as planned, and she too had to seek out revision. All women cited in the article admitted that they had wished they had done more research before deciding that plastic surgery was right for them.
Finding a qualified plastic surgeon to perform your procedure, be it a facelift, eyelid surgery, breast augmentation, or a tummy tuck, is an essential step in the overall process. It is especially important to choose a doctor who actually specializes in what you want.
