Plastic Surgery Blog: Fuller Face and Fuller Bust
By admin | March 5, 2010
A recent local article revealed another new “trend” in cosmetic surgery. A doctor is grafting fat to create volume in the face and chest via a “painless” procedure. Fat grafting is popular but many stay away from it due to the fact that the results do not last because the fat decomposes into the rest of the body. To help the fat survive the doctor injects it with stem cells so the fat regenerates itself allowing it to last twice as long. They hope these treatments last 5 to 10 years but other doctors claim that it is not guaranteed. More research is needed to determine the outcomes.
Dr.’s Wilcox and Dulin offer proven methods for volume in the face to smooth out wrinkles as well as volume in the chest for a more feminine bust. The doctors offer two types of breast implant procedures. The first is the advance tuba method of implantation via the belly button and the second is the typical method of incision in the folds of the armpit or the nipple. To fill out the face simple injectables and dermal fillers are a non-invasive way to see instant results. Fat grafting is available but is recommended for small areas like the lips or nasal labial folds.
