Plastic Surgery Blog:Winter Workouts
By admin | February 17, 2010
It may be a chilly winter but we can still work out outdoors even when its cold. A recent local article revealed tips and tricks to dealing with the winter weather for your workout. Winter air is colder but it is also cleaner and more fresh. By keeping hands warm we can keep our body warm and one runner recommends mittens for extreme weather because hands are pressed together. Layers are also important because they can be shed as body temperature rises. It is important to note that cotton should not be worn alone because it is breathable and absorbs sweat leaving us feeling colder. Stretching is vital in the winter months because our muscles are less pliable than in the warm summer months.
Winter isn’t only a good time for working out but a great time to prepare our bodies for the warmer months. Once spring and summer approaches the clothing gets smaller and we often wish our bodies looked better. It will soon be time for bikinis, halter tops, and summer dresses. Dr. Wilcox and Dulin recommend that active female patients consider the tuba method of breast augmentation. This is a “scar less” method of breast implants that places them through the belly button. Active women who haven’t had children are prefect candidate for this procedure.
