Plastic Surgery Blog: Pancakes with Purpose

By admin | February 23, 2010

pancakes-and-syrupTuesday, February 23, 2010 is National Pancake Day at IHOP restaurants. A recent local article revealed that any guest can request a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes until 10pm. IHOP has gallons of batter ready and hopes to raise 1.75 million dollars. If they meet their goal they would have raised $5 million in 5 years for Shriners Hospital for Children.

Most of us can agree that pancakes are delicious and in this case they serve an important purpose. However, on every other day eating cake covered with syrup and butter is far from a healthy breakfast and the fat from doing so if often stored in pockets on areas of the body. Liposuction is a perfect solution for ridding the body of excess fat for those who are active regularly. Dr.’s Wilcox and Dulin strive to inform patients that liposuction is not a weight loss technique but should be used for sculpting. The best candidate for liposuction is a patient who is at or near their ideal body weight. Dr.’s Wilcox and Dulin’s body contouring procedures work when diet and exercise do not.
