Plastic Surgery Blog:Words of Warning for Moms with Teenage Daughters
By admin | January 8, 2010
Most of us are aware of the pressures and struggles a young girl deals with during adolescents. Their bodies are changing and so are their minds making them far more susceptible to negative media images. A local article shared an excerpt from The Times of London about the devastating trend of young females striving to be a size zero. Women have more fat than men even at normal weight and a study found that teenage girls without proper amounts of fat are prone to develop osteoporosis. The body needs fat to support bone and these young girls may be permanently damaging their bodies for the future.
Many adults also lack the knowledge to deal with their body images and seek plastic surgery to look like a model, actress, or other celebrity. Dr.’s Wilcox and Dulin encourage patients to have realistic goals and hopes in their results and be assured that they are choosing to enhance their image for personal choice. Plastic surgery can be a healthy alternative for women and men who have struggled with a piece of their image for years. Dr.’s Wilcox and Dulin suggest viewing the results page and getting a realistic view of the wonderful outcomes possible with plastic surgery. As prospective patients review photos they should look at before images that are similar to their appearance.
