Plastic surgery blog:Newborns getting lighter
By admin | January 26, 2010
A drop in newborn birth weights was reported in Dallas health news. The study which was nationwide found a drop of only a few ounces but there was cause for concern because obesity rates among children are on the rise. The study was puzzling because with birth weights down that would mean children are packing on the pounds through their formidable years of 1-7.
Dr’s Wilcox and Dulin find obesity in mothers postpartum not to always be the result of a big baby. Many women are gaining so much weight during pregnancy that it becomes nearly impossible to loose it all once the baby is born. Dr’s Wilcox and Dulin encourage the mothers to loose as much weight as possible but once they are at a stable weight then an abdominoplasty and liposuction could help to improve the shape of the body considerably. Abdominoplasty actually removes excess skin and often stretch marks are removed with the excess skin. For women who are not close to their ideal body weight and abdominoplasty and liposuction could be just the right option to help give the patient the motivation to keep working out and eating healthy.
