Plastic Surgery Blog: Stick it Out

By admin | December 29, 2009

new-years-babyMany of us don’t stick to our New Years health resolutions. Luckily, DallasNews.com featured an article on “How to Stick to a Healthful Diet in the New Year.” They stated that we should never be too hard on ourselves by setting too many unrealistic resolutions. Starting small is a key way to be successful.

Exercising to often or jumping head first into a rigorous routine can just lead to injury and frustration. The article states that there should be a balance of good and “bad” in our diets. For instance snacking is often seen as a bad thing but in moderation it can boost our metabolisms which actually causes us to loose weight. Likewise, many of us try to cut out red meat but lean meats are packed with protein, zinc, and iron which are wonderful for the immune system. It was also interesting to know that devilish chocolate actually reduces blood pressure!

By doing an exercise routine that we actually like and taking baby steps we can meet all of our goals easily this year. Dr.’s Wilcox and Dulin offer the Total Body Contouring Procedure which is an amazing way to lift and tighten the skin due to weight fluctuations.
